It’s raining and too cold. I only have Fiji summer clothes. So I decided to eat in the Mercure hotel restaurant. Really lovely oysters ($NZD15 for 6) and pork belly. Excellent well priced wines. Plus a great view of Wellington in the rain.
Considering the price a very average meal! Limited wine options were also a disappointment. The management need to have a good look and the food and beverage manager.
Some very nice dishes on the new menu. Including Entrees of Duck Leg Spring Roll and Popcorn Chicken. Mains of Venison Meatballs and grilled Steaks to your liking. Next time we’ll make sure we have some room left for Dessert!
