The St. George has a pleasant ambience and friendly staff. It was very quiet on Friday night which suited my friends and I wanting to escape the noise and drama of Wellington’s other drinking establishments.The waffle fries were very filling and provided an interesting novelty item. However, the bread and dips felt very overpriced for $7 (six tiny pieces of bread, pesto and olive oil). I would definitely come back to this watering hole, delightfully inoffensive.

A very gloomy and shady place. Drunk people at 4 pm staring at you or invading your private space. Had to wait a serious 6 minutes to get my pint served, because the waiter had trouble to actually sirve it properly.Not such a good experience, location is good. And despite their poor service the staff seemed nice.
Attended The George for the first time ever last night, I have to say thats best quality service ever. Friendly always smiling and delivering excellent customer service to its max. Thanks to the staff a the George you guys are amazing you set a warm welcoming environment. I have been to many bars where the staff don’t acknowledge you, don’t make eye contact with you and seem unfriendly. THANKS GUYS highly recommend your establishment for future events. Awesome experience.
Love this place.. Awesome staff food is amazing. Come on down and chill. Awesome deals on food and alcohol and great service :)Also great place to have a function as well
