Very good selection of pies, filled rolls and baps.The staff are very friendly and the coffee and smoothies are good as well.It’s conveniently located near the main bus stop but sometimes it’s hard to find a park.Better to go there when the drop off to school rush is over.
The ladies here are lovely – friendly as. Good coffee, delicious pies made on site. Great range of cake and slices. My husband and I have become quite fond of visiting here. The pies are incredibly generous for the price. Their pies give Blue Belle in Island Bay a good run for their money. My only criticism would be the chairs. I’m a bit chunky hahaha and the chairs feel flimsy and weak. I’d update the interior furniture and art work – it just needs a little refresher on the walls. I feel awkward eating close to textiles (like the beautiful contemporary maori fabric wall hangings) as I don’t want to risk damaging them. As an artist myself I’d want these works hung out of harms way and would hang framed artwork in their place that’s easier to keep clean etc. Overall I really enjoy coming here! Nice one!

My son eats at Jo’s often so when we visited I had to try it. These were the best meat pies in all of Welli. The smoothies and coffee are good as well. Worth a stop for lunch.
These pies gave me visions of Christ. Get into this d-low pie ecosystem ASAP before some Wellington food blogger alerts the unwashed masses to the spot and we have to start forming lines outside or some bs.
Holy moly – I’ve waited a long time to eat one of these pies, but it was worth it. Tastes so damn good 🙂 Best pie I’ve had in Welli in a long time, thanks Jo!
