I seriously had the best vegetable torte ever! Beautiful blend of flavours and perfectly seasoned. My dining partner was happy with his sausage roll and the bowl of wedges we shared was just as good. Good coffee too. Loved the minimalist interior. Lovely , friendly staff.
Had the Eggs Benedict with an Americano. Best eggs bene I’ve ever had! Bread was fluffy and light, eggs were poached to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was superb. Coffee was yummy to. Only critique would be to add something green to the dish to give more colour. Service was good as well. Definitely can’t wait to return!
the lovely manager lady was very wonderful and made myself a delicious coffee! the french toast i purchased was very yummy, and after talking to the chef, i discovered she also, was wonderful! everyone else was bad
Awesome place, am from wellington and was staying with my sister who lives in greytown the best kid friendly café I have ever been to! the staff were totally fine with the two boys (both two) running behind the counter! (before we had a chance to get them!) and were happy to bring out coloring in pencils and books for the kids while we could enjoy our fabulous lunch I had the French toast and my sister had the eggs benny a tad expensive (but I suppose being greytown you expect this) but would come again 🙂
Gosh, what a pleasant surprise to find this place in a small town. It’s a big airy place. Minimalist – metal, light wood, semi industrial – that sort of thing.Coffee was excellent – again not expected in a small town cafe. Friend had the thai beef salad which she said was great. I had the Spanish omelette, also very good. We found the service very friendly and will happily come back next time we pass through.
We had breakfast here. The coffee was less than average. Despite repeating our order when taken my wife’s meal was not correct. The replacement did not arrive until I had finished my meal. The ingredients were poor quality and preparation and presentation were again poor. Would not recommend at all.
We went to this new cafe as it looked interesting, BUT whilst the food was fine the service and rude staff were not. We ordered food from the cabinet and menu plus coffees and tea. We received all the food after about 25 minutes but no coffee or tea. When we asked the waitress she said it would be 1 minute, another 10 minutes and still not there, but people who came in after us both eating in and takeaway all received their drinks before us. We finally received a green tea and a latte after asking three times. Our meals arrived and were completed before the long black had arrived. Went up to say we didn’t want it as we had finished eating and we’re ready to go. Waitress said sorry but they were busy. The manager saw we were less than impressed and came over to apologise as well and offered we were busy excuse. They weren’t too busy to service at least 20 takeaway coffees after we asked where ours were the first time. Had to ask for a refund on the long black it wasn’t offered.
