Best hand cut chips – especially good with garlic butter. I’m not much of a fish eater but hands down best fish and chips I’ve had in wellington.
Never have the homemade chips, and don’t offer discounted price for the frozen replacement. Not open on Mondays- very annoying! Never enough seasoning on the food and clustered seating area.
Ordered the Bami Goreng. Packed full of meat with great heat. Not a mixed vegetable in sight !!! First time have ever had noodles that thick in a Bami and not the biggest fan to be honest. Added a little light soy as seemed to be missing a little ‘something’.
Bay’s Takeaways is excellent. Good quality fish, homemade chips, friendly service. The Chinese food is good too, an awesome option at a great price point. Best local fish & chips in Island Bay for the price.
This place is amazing. The fish is delicious, good size and lovely batter. Homemade chips are nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Potato fritters are scrumptious. This is my absolute favorite Fish and Chip shop of all time.
Consistently good food. Especially great at the Chinese/Malaysian dishes. Excellent sweet & sour pork, great burgers and the hand cut chips are really good too.
