After a frustrating visit to the hospital with my 91 year old Mum I decided to take her to Island Bay for lunch. I spent my first 22 years in the Bay. We found a park right outside the café. I had the Chicken Satay Salad and would highly recommend it. Mum had the lasagne and ate the lot. Very pleasant staff and prompt service. I will definitely be back.
Eggs bene is the best in Wellington especially with Potato rosti. Rosti stack is just as good. Lots of good food options on menu and in cabinets. Pies are always great and they do flight coffee. Busy times it’s hard to find a table but the food is work waiting it out.
