Have ordered 3 times from here. Never been disappointed yet. I managed an Indian restaurant for 4 years. This is some of the best Indian food I’ve had in years!. (I’d order more often if they did home deliveries).
I got a takeaway and i am very happy. I got chicken tikka hot , onion badji, popadums and a garlic naan. My curry was nice and hot! Just like i love. Portions good. Badjis were interesting and crunchy. Garlic naan was good. Friendly service. Keep up the good@ work! Good to know there is good indian food in johnsonville. I will be back to try something different!
Super tasty and good quality ingredients. We’re Indian and rarely eat Indian takeaways as most are bland; not Invitation. Recommend the chicken dhansak, dal mahkani, and chicken biryani. And ‘Indian hot’ if you dare 😉 Service is always friendly and timely.
Have got takeaways a few times from here and highly recommend them. The food is very flavoursome and the service is very friendly. Have tried a few dishes, the butter chicken, which is one of the best in Wellington, the Mutter Paneer, full of flavour, the naans and coconut rice always tasty. Never seems to take more than 10-15 minutes to prepare.
Having seen the couple of earlier reviews, we tried takeaways from Invitation for the first time tonight. We’re VERY happy and will definitely buy from here again.Ordered an assortment of meat and vegetarian dishes, entrees and Naan breads. Everything was delicious. Lighter and fresher tasting than any of the other Indian takeaways in J’ville. Telephone and face to face service was really friendly too.A number or food businesses have come and gone in this spot. I hope enough people discover this place so we can keep them. Definitely give them a go if you haven’t already.
Food was very nice – we had the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and two different naan breads. We chose medium-hot and the heat was perfect. The meat was well cooked, very tender! No trace of too much oil in the sauces, they were nice and thick. The breads were tasty and well cooked (no little burned bits on them!). Staff were very friendly and meal was ready on time (we ordered takeaway). Value for money – cheaper than most of the bigger names out there!
Never been here before tonight. I had a negative perception of this place – don’t know why, but I did.I was in the mood for a curry but always find Tulsi ok, but doesn’t quite hit the spot – so I was undecided. My partner suggested Invitation so I read a review. I was swayed by Muffin Mum’s review to give it a try. I’m glad I did.I ordered the Chicken Jhalfrazi ($14.00) and a wholemeal garlic roti ($3.50).They said it would be ready in 10 mins, it was. They were nice and friendly too.The curry was good. Nice pieces of marinated chicken and loaded with veg. Potato, beans, peas, capsicum, cauliflower and mushrooms (mushrooms?). I ordered it Kiwi Hot and it had the right kick for me. Kiwi hot is usually too mild for me but being the first time here I played it safe. It came with a side of rice too.The portion was big as was the roti. I finished off both of them but left much of the rice! The roti was a little dry but fine. This entire meal could feed two people. It’s worth noting that the curry and roti together cost $17.50, which is $1.00 cheaper than just the curry at Tulsi.I will definitely go back.
