Great little family owned bakery/café. Pleasant service, tasty food and great filter coffee. I would definitely return to Rosina’s again. 10/10.

I have been working as a sous chef in a restaurant for about 5 years and my mum working in the kitchen for about 2 years so we know a good breakfast when we have one. I had the kiwi breakfast and mum had bacon & scrambled eggs on toast and we can both honestly say it’s one of the best breakfasts we ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented well. Really high quality food, would definitely recommend to anyone.

Best sandwiches in the world (chicken, mashed egg, mayo, lettuce, avocado – heaven). Staff are super lovely too and don’t judge you when you go in for the 3rd time of the day to buy some more sandwiches.

If no frills, no pretence, and no bullsh*t is what you’re wanting in a cafe, then check out Rosina’s. The man behind the counter is friendly and welcoming, the seating is ample, and the filter coffee is excellent. Rosina’s is a welcome oasis in the depressing cesspit that is the Karori Mall.

Had coffee with my family there twice and definitely will come again and again. Nothing fancy in there either in decor or foods but the service, very pleasant staffs, give you those warmer feeling and felt welcomed. The coffee is in nice and hot, home made other stuff perhaps, recommended to others! Feel like home for some reason, comfortable and lovely.

After Sweet Cakery and Bakery, Rosina’s was my next (8th) stop in the search for a decent cup of tea. It’s a very ordinary little café in Karori Mall run by a very pleasant couple. It seems to cater for an older demographic – folk who might do supermarket shopping and go in for a cup of tea as well. People in their 80’s seem not to be uncommon. When I went in, sure enough there were two elderly chaps, one was drinking a flat white and the other an espresso! I ordered the English Breakfast and a bacon and egg sandwich. The tea was $2.50. Bell tea was on offer.I was presented with a 2-3 cup teapot with one tea bag. The large cappuccino cup was warm and cold milk was served on the side. After 5 minutes the tea was of a good temperature, reasonable colour, pleasant enough but without real character – it was wet, but nothing lateral.1. Specialist tea offerings (the variety of unflavoured teas): 1/52. Brew temperature (the likelihood that the tea was brewed with boiling water): 5/53. Cup temperature (how much of a heat sink was the cup – a thick, cold pottery cup scores 0, a warm thin china cup scores 5): 2/54. Perhaps I need to go high end to really find a good cup of tea. Next stop therefore Lois Seargeant in the CBD.

This is a cute little cafe, they do all the basics right. Food is high quality, not $ and servings are big. Recommend to anyone for great food.
