Tasty food. Dessert was yummy! Steak and mushrooms were great, chips were cooked really well. Will definitely be coming again. Service was really good and we had a nice family dinner.
Great food and friendly staff. The steaks were cooked to perfection, been a long time since I’ve had a steak cooked exactly to order preference. Also had the hot wings to start which were really tasty and the exact right size portion as a starter to share before the very generous mains portions. Will be happy to come back many times again.
Comfy cozy place. Friendly staff. Burgers are very good but almost too much going on. Have had the pizzas a few times now (half price, half meter on Mondays) and they are not great. Cheap ingredients I think. Will be back for burgers and and steak night’s!
11.12.2016 – Lovely evening meal, last time we came was 2014 and weren’t impressed. New cook staff and what a difference! Steak specials on Wednesday, cooked to preference beautifully, cook adaptable to my personal eating requirements (no onions). They’ve introduced 1 litre Sangria, and the dessert specials change regularly and are always fun to trial. The plates are decent-sized portions so you shouldn’t be leaving hungry. Enjoyed the comfy, intimate feel and the staff provided great prompt service.
This is Karori’s local community pub and I go here mostly for the pub quiz on Tuesdays. This week, I tried their food for the first time. I had the ‘gourmet chicken burger’ which was okay.. Though not something I would call ‘gourmet’. Also, at $18 I expected something better.
Warm, cozy pub. Great place to come in winter and curl up near the fire with a beer. Usually focuses more on showing the rugby, but they will accommodate the soccer if you ask and they aren’t busy. Food is pretty standard pub fare. It used to have a lot more variety but their streamlined menu now focuses on pizzas and burgers. We’ve had the steak a couple of times but it’s always been hit and miss, with misses being more regular in occurrence. It’s often evenly cooked, and is always more cooked than what you’ve asked for. At $30ish, it’s a bit pricey so we tend to avoid it now. The staff are absolutely lovely, though, and that really helps with the vibe and atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go out of their way to come here, but if you are in the area it’s a pretty good place to come.
