I’ve had their lamb roasts a couple of times and they’re really good for what they are and I think prices suit the size. Have had the apple crumble once and think you’d be better off buying one from the supermarket and whipping your own cream though. Will definitely come back here for their lamb.

I’ve don’t usually give reviews and never have used zomato before, but I’m motivated to support this shop because the roast is the best I’ve ever eaten. I’m extremely fussy with my meat and which is why I don’t usually eat out, frustrated with dry and over cooked meat even in restaurants. This friendly Asian family have some secret that I can’t work out because I cannot cook the lamb the way they do it, moist and melts in your mouth. I’ve been eating here for about a year now, usually about once a week, and they’re very consistent. Sometimes the potatoes aren’t as hot as they could be, but they’re delish. I’ve also had the chicken, which is just as amazing. I’ve tried every roast shop in welly and this is easily the best, they claim on their window best roast in town and they’re bang on with that plug. The gravy is also excellent. The decor, chairs and tables, while not high class, are comfortable and adequate, but its the meat thats the winner and will keep me going back and telling people that its worth the journey.
Pleasantly surprised by here. Got a roast beef sandwich and roast spuds and my friend the roast pork meal. Both were really tasty, staff very friendly and very cheap and fast. Would definitely come again
With a lack of city roast takeaways in Wellington I decided to make the small journey out to Kilbirnie to try this out. This is your classic roast takeaways with the various cuts and vegetables in the bainmarie at the front of the shop. I’m went for the roast pork which was really moist and had the right amount of fat. The crackling was excellent. The vega were good although they do suffer quite badly on the drive home when covered with gravy, I would suggest getting the gravy in a seperate pottle. All in all a good friendly experience from this family takeaways.
Friendly and eager to please guy behind the counter. I asked how much chips n gravy would be and he just charged be for the chips. 2x serves of gravy free! I know it was a small thing but, I the unexpected freebie made my day!My mate ordered a roast pork meal and seemed quite happy with the portion size. Hooray for chips n gravy!!!Update: ordered the small lamb meal. This box is choc a full – beans and carrot underneath. Gravy is epic, and so is the Kumara. Yum indeed!
