On gets a feel that it’s very much a locals bar but at the same time I didn’t feel unwelcome. The staff are very friendly and the beer reasonably priced.
This is the main bar and is very focused on a clientele of regulars who mostly know one another and have been drinking there for years. Main pursuit for most, is talking with mates, beer, sports and racing. There is a TAB.It is what it is an unashamedly traditional drinking place for adults. There is limited food, but quality is acceptable but you don’t go there to eat.Within the parameters described it delivers what the regular patrons want, which is not necessarily what an outsider would wish for. The composition of the clientele is wide and includes all sorts. It is not trendy nor a place for cocktail types.
