Mmmm its really yum here, not as cheap as st pierres downstairs but its great to have once in a while! Its got an interesting variety of sushi, and they have vege dumplings on a stick with sweet chilli sauce which is pretty good!
Probably the best sushi in Hutt Valley area. They are making fresh sushi everyday and there are a lot of selection to choose from. My son really loves Teriyaki chicken. It’s so yummy !!!
I was totally dissapointed with the quality of the food here. Rice was too dry as if it had been displayed for 3 days. I have had real Japanese sushi with full of taste and quality. I know I should not expect same quality from this shop, but there is something more to be desired.
I love sushi and being able to choose what and how much I want is even better. I love the range of sushi that’s offered here and that if you want to you can add soy sauce on the spot to eat in the mall. Prices change depending on the short you get but I paid $11 for 6 pieces and a hands roll. jenjaroo.com
This is the best of the sushi places in Queensgate! The sushi is always fresh and they always have a great selection. It’s slightly higher priced then the sushi place downstairs but it is worth it!
Sen Sushi offers a self service selection of individual pieces of sushi as well as other japanese food items such as dumplings, chicken katsu skewers, and vegetable and seafood tempura. I used to visit this place several years ago when I worked nearby and since then they have increased their range of items to include more variety to the point it is now difficult to choose what to get! Their teriyaki chicken nigiri is delicious with a generous sized piece of chicken. The munchie rice is a delicious arancini type item and even a plain avocado sushi is great. Soy sauce, wasabi and ginger are offered at purchase. My only complaint is that the price can add up quickly with some of the larger types being $3.00 a piece and maybe more. It’s great if you only want a small lunch/dinner as you are able to choose as few pieces as you like, unlike sushi places that offer prepacked sushi in 6 or 8 piece packs only. It also means you can get a variety as opposed to one flavour only. There is no ‘ambience’ but it is in a foodcourt so expectations are low in that regard. Service is friendly and quick.
