I would say the food is pretty darn good. I had a kumara rosti from the counter. Others had a halloumi stack and a salad. A bit too much blue cheese in the salad apparently. Only criticisms are that it is quite expensive, but I guess actually on a par with what cafes charge these days. Also service kind of slow. They need to work out a better system at the counter! Would come again though.

Very enjoyable luncheon with 3 friends. Staff very helpful, picked a nice wine for us, cheerfully helped all the way through our visit despite an extremely busy restaurant. We all really enjoyed our meals and a few add ons from the cabinet. Marvelous coffee. Thanks for a very enjoyable outing.

This cafe is fantastic. The food is a real stand out in town, they have all sorts of great options in their cabinet, I was there with a colleague who is gluten-free, and there were some great options for her to choose from. The coffee is consistently good, and the staff are always friendly. They also have a nice list of local wines, all by the glass.Beautiful sunny spot.

UpdateMy mother commented on the improvement in the coffee’s here since Entice replied to this review, she has dined here many times since which is really saying something. I have visited here once since reviewing and enjoyed the food, drink and experience so no complaints.Let me say I really appreciate that Entice have really taken into account this review, keep up the good work guys! :)OriginalThis is a really nice place to sit outside on a sunny day, with a good location being right next to Aratoi Museum and across from the park. However I am overall disappointed with this cafe. Companions have complained of warm/cold coffees on arrival too many times for me to bring anyone who drinks coffee there anymore. Their hummingbird cake was flavorless, the two other cakes (one was espresso, the other I don’t remember) were much too dry. The wedges are pretty good but they used to serve a huge plateful for the price, now they serve a small plateful at the same price. Some positive redeeming things about this place is they serve good peppermint tea and the spinach and ricotta filo wrap and the roast veggie salad are both pretty good, and of course the location. Still, not overall impressed.

A friend and I went into the Entice Cafe on a cold, wet, wintry Saturday morning. The food was delicious, the coffee and the biscotti served with the coffee was to die for! The service was excellent, with welcoming staff. The cafe was full of contented patrons, relaxed and happy. The whole cafe had a wonderful buzz. It is a wonderfully sited cafe – overlooking the park, and with an art gallery attached.
