Awesome place, service was attentive and friendly and surprisingly fast considering how busy they were. We had the Beef Nachos and the Carne Asada and loved both – the meat in the Carne Asada was so tender and the Nachos were flavourful and fresh. Really good portion sizes too for both meals. Another highlight for us was seeing drinks served with metal straws – glad to see restaurants making efforts towards sustainabilityWould definitely go back.

Best ”smash me in the face with flavour” food we had in Wellington. Friendly staff who engaged positively with the kids.

It’s always on my to visit list when I’m in Wellington. Great coffee and the Baked Spanish Eggs are my favourite breakfast. Friendly, fast service.

I have been to Fidel’s couple of time and they have never disappointed me. It’s pretty cool place to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the food and would love to visit again and recommend to my friends.

In true Wellington style, of course there’s a cafe called Fidels near Cuba St serving up Cuban style food. Off the bat, you want to start off with a milkshake, and avoid their other drinks – the milkshakes are delicious, the other stuff is hit and miss. When it comes to food, the portions are massive, so be careful and modest with your asking, comrade.
