the first time i walked by laundry, its horrendous green and blue exterior walls immediately enticed me. i decided i had to come back for drinks once open and laundry did not disappoint. the decor is super fun and vibrant and added significantly to an overall very positive experience. in fact, the vibes were so enjoyable i returned the following night so that i could try the food as well. though i was terribly upset to be informed that i could not try the fish tacos (welly on a plate tings :/) i had been fiending for, i was more than satisfied by my chicken tacos. a banging combo of slaw, spicy chicken, tangy salsa and whatever that sauce was. i only wish this had a flour tortilla as i have a personal vendetta against the dry and flavourless corn version. we also ordered a side of chips which were crispy and salty and hot and yum, but i feel the ketchup was doing too much and did not go deliciously with the fries. aioli is a better choice. this place was bustling with both the young and old, if you arrive after 6:30pm you are likely to have to wait for a table. the staff were apologetic about this and the fact that their menu had been temporarily adjusted due to WOAP. they were also very fun and friendly, i will certainly return on my next visit to wellington.
