Came across this restaurant via Zomato and I’m so glad I did! Me and another friend went and had some gorgeous pork belly (quite rich but amazing flavours!). We also had some stuffed chicken wings which were creative and interesting, and also delicious. The service was great. I only wish there were more people there to enjoy it as much as we did, and to add to the overall atmosphere 🙂
Stumbled upon this establishment the other night and was drawn in by the unique decor and warm ambience. The fabulous food was thoughtfully put together, quality fresh ingredients cooked with authentic spices. I enjoyed the fusion twist on Cambodian flavours and dishes, and the desserts were delicious! The amazing range of drinks and the friendly staff topped the cake. I can’t wait to come back and share this experience with others!
Gorgeous home style Cambodian food! A welcome addition to the Wellington scene, come at once to try – either if visiting town or a local. Mr TK (named after the owners son) Still uses spices from scratch and vegetables from the local markets. Fresh, lemongrass and galanglal “sing” in the middle of a welly winter 🙂
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and really great food!!! The coconut rice isn’t what we expected it’s thick and sticky and sweet but it went great with the curry anyway. Will definitely be going back ☺️
We found most of the dishes far too sweet and it was very difficult to eat. The rice with coconut was made with coconut milk so it was like a pudding rather than proper rice. The food is a bit pricey and the dishes are not very large. When we dined the restaurant had recently opened so the staff was extra cautious with the service. There was mixed up with our order so to compensate for this it we received a discount on our bill. This was very nice gesture. We do give them praise for effort but it’s unfortunate that the food does not suit our taste buds.
Lovely dining, authentic Cambodian cuisne and excellent service (thank you). The menu is priced fairly high if compared with comparable quality Thai restaurants, but surely worth it once in awhile to enjoy the unique cuisine being served at Mr TK.
