What I miss most about wellington. I lived across the lights in the apartments and this was our go to lunch stop. Pop across the road and get the chicken and falafel pita. AMAZING the pita bread is delicious and the best falafel I’ve ever tired.
Thought we’d try somewhere new for lunch today. Got excited at the choices and options. Ordered 2 x iskander combo’s. Disappointed in what we got. Overpriced for the portion size. Not much meat and the hot chilli sauce tasted like salsa. No onions – Whats up with that!!! Sorry guys won’t be coming back.
Cafe laz is a good little turkish kebab house located in newtown. Enjoyed their chicken kebabs and mixed iskenders. Falafels were pretty dry. But overall good meal for the price.
Always great food from here, but the previous incarnation run by a Kurdish man was far superior. This has less options than its predecessors but it a solid performer. Have tried a number of the different fillings in both kebab and salads and each has been good rather than great. The combo option is brilliant! Meat options are tasty and so are the vegetarian ones. Recommend..

Awesome kebabs!! Best I’ve had in Wellington. Would recommend satay,garlic yogurt with mild chilli for the sauces!Definitely don’t be fooled by its setup and has lovely service 🙂 Must try!
REALLY REALLY good kebabs, just great flavour and the freshest fillings you could want. Kids love them too. I am gluten free but ruin that once in a while for these kebabs. Friendly staff too and recently redecorated interior. You guys should try and get a gluten free wrap, I’m keen to try it (can even bring my own if that’s ok!!). Great freshly cooked falafel here too!
