Fast service, great food, amazing drinks, highly recommended for it you are looking for a drink while shopping or getting your hair done. Their menu offers foods to suit everyone.
Their smoothies are delicious! We tried the feijoa/apple as well as the mango smoothie. My orange and date scone was great too. The cafe was surprisingly busy considering the many other cafés nearby. Parking is easy which is a bonus.
I find Columbus Coffee in Newtown to be entirely consistent. The staff always friendly, the food and coffee always good.Is it the coolest, hippest place in Wellington? No. Do the friendly staff provide good coffee that I come back for most weeks before hitting the supermarket? Absolutely.

Only tried the cabinet food here and it’s alright. Pretty expensive I got a coffee with an added extra for $4.80 and it was tiny. I usually get the same coffee, same size at other places for $4. I tried a smoothie here a while ago and was definitely made of syrup, was not natural what-so-ever. Would not recommend ordering that. Staff are very nice and happy though.
We have been here many times for coffee and snacks. We have had a thoroughly enjoyable experience consistently with this place and their loyalty card is good value. Food we received was well presented and tasty. Drink were of a good size and were not to expensive. What makes this location is bing able to look out on newtown from the Big windows. You forget you’re in a supermarket complex entirely.
It is located on the Corner of Adelaide Road & John Street in Newtown. I used to saw it almost everyday passing from there or at the time of buying groceries from Countdown. Its ambience is very lively and crowded. They serves a variety of breakfast food ranging from Salads to Pastas to Sandwiches and Coffee. I opted for Fresh Fruit Salad, Macaroni and Flat White Coffee. Nothing extraordinary taste though. Fresh cut fruits had nothing special. I am a pure vegetarian and Unfortunately, macaorni served to me had beef in it. It was very disappointing.
