Food was excellent, we had a variety of food as there was 9 of us, so we all sampled each other’s food. We ordered the bread platter, which there was alot & would recommend for 2 people to share. For those that dont like spicey u can get the mild options for most of the dishes. Mango lassi was yum, however dessert was disappointed as not much variety & the price u pay is abit much for the amount u pay. The mango dessert was lovely, but small. I would dine here again. Restaurant is situated on 1 of the main roads in newtown, so easy access to public transport & parking. Downfalls is the toilet is situated up the stairs & thru the kitchen. Also im not sure if they had highchairs for babies, not the biggest restaurant, so pays to book in advance! Friendly service.

And the staff are always friendly and accommodating.I think my favourite dishes are probably the Malabari and Saagawala. Definitely try this place out if you can!
Love that the vegan options are listed separately, makes it so much easier. Yummy biriyani and spice levels are bang on. Plus they are so lovely and friendly.
Their goat Dhaka curry was exquisite! I’ve had a few curries in my life but have to say it was the best! Couple that with friendly service, very reasonable prices and you can’t go wrong. Had it with the Kereru Resonator IPA – beer brewed in the Hutt! Never tried that before but even beat my favourite Panhead!!!
Our fave Indian takeaway! I order the pasanda, partner orders the butter chicken. The boss is lovely and we have a good relationship with him. Up there as our number one option for Indian takeaway.
Frnd recommends curry here strongly, so my flatmate and me decided to have dinner. Friendly stuff good service, also gave us some advice on food. I ordered chicken masala, tasted very good, better than downtown. Good place to have curry.
Had takeaways from here many times. Good pricing and always enjoy my meal! Usually get the butter chicken or chicken korma – so good! Staff are really friendly and meals always come out fast – within ten minutes.
