Great and consistent friendly service. I love the Nasi Lemak, get it at least once a week! Highly rate the Rendang as well. For a little place in a mall this place is fantastic.
Consistently tasty and good value for money. I recommend the char kway teow and chicken rice. Nasi lemak was ok, would recommend other things over it. I’ll be coming back for more noodles though!
Been coming here every Friday for years and years. Awesome mee goreng, the best I’ve had, and the Laksa is fantastic too. So is the Nasi Goreng. Great place and really friendly staff.
Lunch. Popped up the road from hospital with intention of maccas then remembered this place from years ago. Extensive Malay menu plus western fare. Opted for the cheap and quick roti and curry. Nothing flash – not homemade roti me thinks but it was ok. Curry did not have one shred of meat – just potato and sauce. Ok. Not wow.
Been here a few times now and have had the bee hoon, both shrimp and chicken and had thr char kwey teau. I think the bee hoon is very nice, the sambal when you ask for spicy is nice too. I think the prices are a touch high compared to anything in welllington city but its consistently good and you never know if the rent is horrendous in the mall or not. Definitely worth a try.
My partner and I just had the WORST experience here and never coming back again! First the waiter got my order wrong between Mee Goreng and Nasi Goreng, but I thought I’d do them a favour from chucking out the food so I decided to just eat the Nasi Goreng. It all went majorly wrong when my partner received his Chicken Simbal which tasted absolutely off and old – after one bite I thought he shouldn’t eat anymore in fear of him getting food poisoning and he mostly just ate the rice and side salad because the chicken was so disgusting and off. When I complained to the owner about this, he totally dismissed us, saying that nobody’s ever complained about their food. And then while I waited for him to come back and at least apologise for the food or offer compensation, I realised him and the rest of the staff were hiding in the kitchen until we left the restaurant. I have never received such disgusting customer service before, as well as disgusting food, and will never be coming back again.
In the Newtown New World mall so I regularly pop in for lunch and dinner. Service has always been friendly and the food great. One day without realizing I left forgetting my coffee was still coming and a week later the owners saw me in the mall and kindly invited me in for a free coffee.
