The food was amazing. Best Chinese food in New Zealand. But it is expensive. It is all worth it. Best food. I recommend this place to a person who loves eating authentic Chinese food.
Entree was nice .but main course very bland nuts in main burnt and no rice with main which your not told Very expensive for what it is dont think i will be going back
Ordered chicken satay and received chicken in a pineapple and chili sauce – what?? Wasn’t anywhere slightly near satay, complained about this and was told ‘its sort of a sweet and sour satay sauce’ So its not satay chicken then is it??? Its sweet and sour China beach. False advertising and extremely disappointed.
Couldn’t fault the service here – staff were very attentive and obliging. We ordered the combination entree – pork looked dry and most uninviting so didn’t bother even trying that, squid was swamped in a very thick batter, and wontons and spring rolls were drowning in oil and left a nasty aftertaste in the mouth and a puddle on the platter. The main meals were a very good size but were like the Chinese dishes you used to have 20 or 30 years ago – full of sugar and salt.Won’t be going back.
Food was prompt and well presented. We had an entree each and a main with one being sizzling lamb and other being prawns. We were served well and meals came so after some drinks we were out within 50 minutes. The only fault would be I would like to see the extra charge for rice is made known to patrons. Water and wine came b4 the meal. Compared to other meals in this locality the price is only a little higher but the quantity and quality of food was compensated. Would return.
Food was very expensive for what it is. My meal was average – they seem to specialise in deep-fried Chinese food, and the service was average. Friends of mine love this place and visit often however, I was not overly impressed.
We found the prices very expensive for the quality of food you were receiving, and you have to pay more for rice as it is not included. You are not told that it is an additonal price until the end.We had the Mongolian Beef, which unfortunately was a disappointment. The meat was of a low quality and lacked in taste. I ordered medium and there was no spice at allWe will not be going back here again.
