Went there with my kids and partner. The coffee was watery and incorrectly made, the milkshakes were just creamy fluff.. did not have any ice cream or much milk in for that matter.. (tasted more like pig fat from McD’s ice cream, not that real milk/ice cream milkshake ).. and the Ice Coffee was cheap. Not happy at all and won’t be returning.

Slow service, coffee came out fifteen minutes before my toasted sandwich, it was early on a weekday morning and there was only one other group in the cafe. Toasted sandwich was disappointing, did not have ham as ordered and paid for. Cutlery and cups were not properly cleaned and looked a bit grubby. It took so long to come out I didn’t bother saying anything. Will make a point of going elsewhere in future.

I visited alone on a rainy Sunday afternoon, I was greeted pleasantly and immediately on my arrival. I was served by a delightful young man, Raymond I think, who could not be more helpful, even though I had only stopped in for a Kapiti ice cream and a coffee. He invited me to try some of the flavors on a small spoon before I chose and took so much trouble to dish me up the ice cream of my dreams, even offering cream on top. He respected my request for a small delay before the coffee, checked with me if I was ready, then brought over the coffee. Awesome!

Was one of the few places open in Raumati Beach on Labour day. Ordered the ‘pasta special’ which was sun-dried tomato and smoked chicken. Came out first time with raw, crunchy pasta spirals. Sent it back, the lady was very apologetic and gave me a $3 voucher for ice cream and produced a fresh meal. Second version came out with pasta cooked, and drenched in oil and cheese, so much so I couldn’t finish it. Have a tummy-ache now. Won’t be back.
