They say the have the best cakes and donuts in town. I can’t speak for the cakes but the donuts are the best in town, hands down, no competition. And if you are lucky enough to get there in the midmorning when the donuts, especially the filled ones, are still warm you can notch your donut experience up yet another level. My favourites are the filled ones especially the blueberry and custard – loads of delicious filling , not overly sweet. If there is anything I’m less keen on, it is that the glaze on the glazed donuts is more sweet than I like. Don’t buy one donut, buy a box – you won’t regret it.

These are homemade, fresh, better quality and much more delicious than any chain doughnut place, plus they are cheaper! It is family run and the range of doughnuts is fantastic – the decorated kids doughnuts come in a great range of shapes and colours (and lots of lollies on top too), my son is always begging me to go back! My favourites are the apple cinnamon with cream and the naughty nuts (peanut butter and chocolate). They also make the most outstanding decorated cakes.

This place is my guilty secret, as I bake a lot I am rather fussy when it comes to slices and cakes. Crazy Cakes and Donuts wins me over and keeps me happy everytime.These are not the deepfried cinnamon and sugar type of donut but more the bread kind. I like them that much that I have figured out of you buy the kids bunny shaped donut you get more. I always go for the iced variety and the husband tries all different kinds from the Filipino side on the right.This is a family run business, give them a go.

Totally LOVE this place!! So hard to find an awesome, non-greasy, DELICIOUS donut in Wellington and this place is full of ’em! Glazed or filled and they’re open rather late so you can drop past to get your donut freak on :DThe cheese-topped cinnamon donut is a great option for those who don’t have quite as much of a sweet tooth 🙂 definitely a must try. So many options to choose from! 🙂 :)Customer service is top notch – rang to see what time they closed and they said they’d stay open to give me time to get there! Perfect! 🙂
