Lovely cosy restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. As we mentioned we were vegetarians the waiter was very helpful pointing out to us exactly which dishes were vegetarian. I had the special, which was mushroom risotto and my boyfriend had the gnocchi. The tiramisu for dessert was the perfect ending.
Cosy restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious, from the starter to the dessert. Special mention to the gnocchi and the tiramisu. We will be back.
Best Italian in Wellington. The pasta I had was so delicious that I wished I have found this place much earlier. The tiramisu I reckon is the best in town.
Amazing service, very attentive and friendly staff. Proper authentic Italian. Portions were a great size and everything tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.
Had the most delicious dish here last night. Pappardelle pasta with a duck sauce, I was sorely tempted to lick the plate! The pasta was cooked beautifully, the duck was so tender and the sauce! I pretty much didn’t talk all through dinner as I was too fixated on that delicious sauce. The staff were very friendly and polite. One thing I did notice though was there was no music playing, which could have added to the atmosphere but I did spot a speaker so maybe it was broken.
I have to admit that I have not dined here since it was previously named Maria Pias. I was craving for some pasta, so opted to to try Mari Luca. I was very impressed with their pasta. Not only were they fresh, but smooth and silky and cooked till al dente – I could not have asked for more.Located in Thorndon which is basically a hop skip and jump from the CBD, you will find this little quaint place near the Thorndon New World. If you are after some decent pasta, then give this place a try.Check out my website for an indepth review. misopeckish.com
Easy to miss but a delight if you stumble across. Authentic italian staff who are professional, knowledgable yet friendly. Great cosy ambience. Food delightful. Portions size varies and sometimes a bit small but desert superb and makes up for it. Perfect for date night.
