Checked out this place at lunch time hidden away from all the road works. However, this place did not disappoint our dining experience. Tried their Malai Kofta and it was good and flavourful. Will definitely visit this place again to try the other dishes from the menu.
Gave this place a crack and it was ok. Has a lovely setup and a nice dining area, i just didnt find anything exciting about the food. Just another typical Curry place.

Had a very delicious butter chicken here tonight. I got medium spice and it was just right. The restaurant was very warm and inviting and overall a great place to dine. Would really recommend to dine here or get take away! Also good pricing 🙂
Very disappointed by the takeaways I got tonight. I have had good food in the past so I especially drove out to curry village however received a flavourless mushroom palak. Will rethink where I go in the future.
This used to be my favorite curry place to frequent and although I haven’t been here for some time I thought on a chilly night I would go get some comfort food.Curry Village must have changed owners in the past year. I went to pick up my takeaway order and was met with a very cold reception from the lady on the counter. There was no smile or hello, just a what you want. There was no thank you or any other words spoken when I paid.I had ordered a chicken madras and lamb biryani. The chicken madras had 6 little cubes of chicken just plonked in (not even cooked in the tandoor) the gravey was tasty though. The rice in the biryani was soggy and the yogurt sauce that they gave us to add to the biryani was sickeningly sweet. It was quite a disappointing meal and we definitely will not be going back again as there are other Indian places in Porirua that would surely serve better quality meals with better service for the same price if not cheaper.Sorry Curry Village but you need to up your game.
Best curry in porirua! Butter chicken and chicken chattinad (sp?) which is an amazing authentic tasting curry with potato and spices in it are my fav with a mango lassi! Takeaway or dine in lovely can’t wait to go back!
