I actually enjoyed the food from Dynasty. We went there on Friday night. We ordered from the menu and the food was great! We tried the lemon chicken (which was amazing!!), the chilli chicken, salted fish tofu, fried squid (soooo good!!!) and the sweet and sour pork.

Note: this review relates only to the buffet optionHaving been to Dynasty a number of times the Chinese buffet has been a bit of mixed bag. Some days it has been good, some days absolutely dreadful. The buffet itself consist of all the stereotypical westernised Chinese food – sweet and sour pork, orange beef, lemon chicken etc.The quality of the food deteriorates rapidly the longer it sits – which is the key to the whole thing. The service is efficient. The decor is very shabby and outdated. They really need to refurbish the whole restaurant. No air-conditioning in summer (or they just don’t turn it on) means it get very hot.My top tips for the Dynasty buffet:Avoid the buffet on the slower evenings, which are Sunday to Thursday. The food doesn’t turn over quickly enough and sits around for ages. Then it goes all soggy and greasy.Have the buffet on busy nights during peak time, which is Friday to Saturday around 7pm. The food will be turning over quicker and you’ll get fresher cooked food. Even look through the window to see if the restaurant is busy or not. The busier, the better!Sit yourself where you can see the buffet. You’ll notice when the dishes are replenished. That is the time to go up to get more. On busy nights all dishes will be replenished on a regular basis.Avoid the deep fried squid. It has never been good, no matter when it comes out. I always find it is quite tough – probably frozen squid.
