My local cafe. Love their rissotto cake and although I always get sleepy afterwards (gluten and me are not friends), I am a little addicted to their egg and ham/tuna cucumber club sandwiches. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Never had any bad food here in hundreds of visits.
We are a group of six cousins – all seniors – who regularly meet here for lunch. Always a fun outing: staff are great and whatever food we try we enjoy. Prices are displayed and are perfectly reasonable.Jenny C
What I love about Novella is that we ALWAYS get a really good coffee, unlike other places that can be hit and miss. Lovely scones and muffins too. Cabinet food always looks inviting and staff always friendly.
Overpriced, unfriendly (poker face staff) boring food. How do you know whether you are being overcharged if prices are not displayed? – a common fault in this and many other cafes. Try the local bakery instead!
Really disappointed, was really hungry and looking forward to a nice lunch out but found a very limited menu and very empty display cabinet. ended up with the small roasted vege salad as a desperate last minute choice at choosing something wholesome- it consisted of pumpkin, kumara and potato and very little flavour or texture, could do with some herbs or nuts/seeds and coffees were extremely extremely slow coming out. and the atmosphere -i felt like i was dining in a rest home cafe!
Melodie must have been having a bad hair day. We have had lunch at Cafe Novella several times and each time have had great food served by friendly staff. We like it not only because it has great food but the owners are there also providing the right atmosphere/
I was a regular customer until they changed hands. I paid $4.50 for 3 club sandwiches. Without a lie they were about 1cm in width- if that. My workmates were horrified. They have also experienced an increase in price and a downturn in quality. If you want to be ripped off, go here.
