Good service and good food. Ordered a family pack for $30.00 for 4 adults and we actually had leftovers for a change. Potato fritters were good and loved the fish.
You can’t really beat Fish and Chips on a warm summers evening watching the sun set by the beach. Aside from serving up great quality fish and chips, the Tavern Takeaway also does a solid fried rice that Auckland Chinese restaurants would be proud of. The store owners are also friendly which is a bonus, it’s a family business so if you want to support local Param business then get some takeout from here. Originally we weren’t even going to get take out from here, it was actually when we were next door ordering from the Divine India takeaway where we noticed stream and stream of people entering and exiting the fish and chip shop that we said to ourselves that we must give this place a go. The fact that they also double fry their food is a big win for me.Showstopper: Crumbled fish and Fried Rice.Overall Grade: A
Great chips, reasonable crumb fish, quick turn around, good, friendly staff – a real family treat on a Sunday afternoon – would recommend to Friends.
