Popped in for a quick dinner on Wellington Anniversary day as nothing else open on the coast. Ordered the Pork Belly which was supposed to have soft shell crab but they had run out so they replaced with Prawns which were over cooked and rubbery – pork belly was cooked well although crackling was under cooked. We also ordered 2 beef burgers but they only had 1 beef patty left so we ordered a chicken burger. They were ok. Disappointing that they had run out of most ingrediants for there dishes. Service was friendly and drinks menu was ok. Was an alright place, probably better if all good on the menu was available. Will try again.
Considering the lunch mains are all $10, it’s quite good value for money. My partner had chickpea battered fish and chips: verdict – very nice and the fish tasted fresh. I had jerk chicken burger: not a lot of flavour and not a filling meal as it came without any side dishes such as chips. So I had to order these as an extra. We would probably go back, but we accept that it’s just pub grub.
This place has really gone down hill unfortunately. Service was mediocre, food was pretty terrible – over cooked fries, very bland over cooked steak. Sadly Wouldn’t recommend.
Ordered lemon pepper squid and good as always.Ordered market fish of the day which was a king fish I was dissapointed with the size of the kingfish for the price I paid, plus I found the fish too try and had to literally chew it after it went cold.Ambience is good but I always look for good food.
Great attentive service. Enormous portion of salt and pepper squid with aioli and rocket for $10. Nice touch getting a little jar of home made pork scratchings too. Fast service for lunchtime. I came here for a Valentine’s Day meal too and food was great.
The total Valentine’s package we had was incredible, the food was great and the service was awesome. We will definitely go back and try their other dishes.
Amazing food, amazing service, reasonable prices. Bacon and cheese croquettes are amazing and the desserts were out of this world. The platters were really good and pretty good price yeah.
