The fish and the chicken looked so good we bought our lunch here (should’ve checked these reviews first). The chicken was cooked but a bit greasy and the flavour had no life but at least the coating was crispy. The fish was cooked but the coating wasn’t crisp. The chips were hot but not crisp and could’ve done with some salt.

TL;DR – this place is a rip-off and tries to up-sell you on food/drinks, and they don’t make it clear at all that you’re going to pay through the nose for it. BOY will you pay. Terrible experience, I’m actually considering reporting to commerce commission for this experience. My colleague and I were travelling out of Wellington looking for a very simple breakfast – just scrambled eggs on toast. The only price visible on the board was either $6.50 or $8.50 for what we assumed was the deal. However, we were each stung over $16, and before this the worker had tried to up-sell us on extras with our breakfast. I argued at the till for a while but only got a few cents discounted. Considering the bulk-prepared food, ordinary white bread, and pushy vendor, it’s unbelievable.Buyer beware. Will never go back here. Telling my travelling friends and family to steer clear too. These places don’t deserve to stay in business.
