We had a great afternoon here. Good ambiance, nice and clean place ever. Staff was lovely and the food was very good. We all left content and very full. The Paneer Masala with Onion Kulcha was the best I have had. We will be back.
My favourite indian restaurant in Wellington. Perfect every time. So lucky to have it in Miramar and my family regularly go there. The kids love it too.
Good I will not say was not good. It was a cuisine Style I had never tried before. However I feel the temp of the meals could have been hotter. The presentation could have been much much better and the service I would rank in the negatives. I still feel this review is being conservative but nonetheless.
I had a delicious takeaway meal from here tonight. The Samosas and Balti Josh were fresh and authentic. I look forward to coming back the next time I’m in Wellington.
Bhalti house use to be located on Mercer street in the CBD before they relocated to Stathmore.I have been twice since the move as it was one of my favourite Indian places in town and was some what walkable. The food is the same and the service is very friendly. I think with the new location they do not draw in the crowds that they did when they were in town.One of my favourites that I always order is their cheese naan, that is made from cottage cheese. Went there with my mates ..to try some good Indian food.Ordered saag chicken mild..Food was damn osme ..The service was very good..Curry was served in little chrome buckets..gives the royal feel of dine .Ambience was good too..easy to find parking space in Miramar ..Food is reasonably priced too. Highly recomended
Balti House (recently moved to Miramar from Victoria Street) is by far the best Indian you can find in Wellington. As a person of Indian origin, I tend to rely on a restaurant’s Dal Makhani as a metric of how good the food is. Balti House’s Dal is to die for–it tastes just as good as any of the best Dals I’ve had in India.Although I’m vegetarian, I’ve been asked by my better half to point out that BH is one of the few places in Wellington that serves a mixed veggie+meat dish (the Garden Balti) in case you want your dose of protein and a few of your five a day!They don’t seem to do deliveries yet but hopefully that will change now that they’re a bit further out.
