Friendly enough service we went on a sunday and it was extremly quiet there only seemed to be one lady managing the till and orders. I had the corn fritters very doughy and were obviously microwaved. My partner had the fish and chips the tartare sauce was delish however. Food overall was pretty basic bettwe if the corn fritters werent overly spiced and fresher
Awesome customer service food was very nice and the price is fair would definitely go back the coffee is awesome just the way I like it filled to the rim almost overflowing the cup.
Once again, another Silverstream restaurant with nothing to complain about, but nothing that especially stands out either.The portion sizes are very good though, which makes it ideal if you are in particular need of a large lunch.Waiters are generally helpful, though I visited at a quiet time so it would be interesting to see how they cope when I re-visit during busier hours.
I have just read this review by ‘Therese M’ and I am actually quite shocked. My friends and I go to Charlton’s at least twice a week and we have never had any problems with the food/service. I actually think the waitress’ are lovely happy girls! Especially the red head! Always a smile on her face! They know how to cook a good steak and have delicious bar food to munch on that’s normally ready in 10 minutes! It’s very friendly there and everyone knows each other. I do not normally write reviews but I had to say this after I saw that horrible one! So I completely disagree and think its a wonderful place to have dinner and drinks with friends! Thumbs up Charlton’s!!
I am so angry!! Have just got home from what should have been an enjoyable evening with friends. 7 of us were there tonight. 6 of us ordered meals. 40 minutes later 5 meals arrived, 1 person’s meal had been missed. I got schnitzel, cut into it and meat red. Cooked but red. Husband (ex butcher)says looks like it’s been thawed in microwave then cooked or it’s been freezer burnt. He tasted a bit and said it’s horrible and tastes funny. Took up to counter, young redhead with too short a skirt and too big an attitude took it out the back after asking what was wrong with it. She came out, I reordered a different meal. Difference in cost $8 more for new meal. She refused to re-imburse cost of meal, she said there was nothing wrong with it and I had to pay for the extra cost of a new meal. She said I’d eaten most of it anyway, absolutely not true, I’d cut 2 bits off it and that was all. No discussion, absolutely arrogant smirking little madam. Told her to give me back my money, cancel my meal and I won’t eat there again. We have been going to Charltons since it opened and have always made a point of complimenting staff when we’ve had a good meal. I am appalled at the way I was treated as were the people we were with. Charltons you need to get some serious staff training done, customer service was non existent and we won’t be back. The only reason you get 1 star is because it’s the only way I could post this.
