Same as the gasworks overpriced food and drinks, staff are lazy and don’t empty the ashtrays often and I don’t think children under 12 belong at bars, who’d pay $14 or $24 bucks for a cocktail that’s a rip off. Glad to have been a short term regular but never again
Came here a couple of days ago for lunch on a Saturday. The place was almost empty but the interior looked decent and we were in the area so decided to give this place a go. Without exaggerating I can say this was the most disappointing meal I have had in a long time. I ordered the ‘Linguine’. The pasta was old, stale and the individual strands of pasta stuck to each other. It was far from fresh and honestly tasted like it was from a packet, cooked a couple of nights before and reheated. You’d think for the price paid it would be fresh. The pasta was also drenched thick in oil. Anyone who knows me knows I hate wasting food and will give my best effort to finish anything I order but I couldn’t finish this. I don’t remember the last time that happened. On the plus side, the few cherry tomatoes and bits of zucchini were okay. I was with 4 others for the meal. My partner ordered a beer, it was flat. He took it back to get a fresh one, different beer, also flat. An issue with the kegs we suspected. Maybe they’d dropped them. So we asked for a bottle because that’s hard to screw up. My partner also ordered ‘Jalapeño Bullets’ and guess what – they didn’t even use jalapeños, they used capsicums. CAPSICUMS. Everyone tried a bit to double check and everyone agreed, they used capsicums. They didn’t even add spices or something to add some heat to resemble jalapeños. If you want to serve capsicum, fine. But be honest and call them capsicum bullets or something.In conclusion, I would never come back to this establishment. Maybe they are constrained by the quality of their raw food supply but honestly I can’t stress how disappointing this meal was. I mean if you’re going to serve what you serve, don’t charge what you do because that was the worst pub meal I’ve ever had.
Came here recently for what was meant to be a nice evening out at the local. But Poor service and Over priced food which tastes like it comes from a cheap take away, pity the prices don’t reflect this. For something that is meant to be my local, this will never be my local. You can get better service and food else where in the local area.
Nice little spot for a quick bite. Pretty dark inside however there is a sitting area with open lighting area that is cosy. Food is not too bad, a little pricey but the ambience is good.
In the end what it came down to was poor customer service and manager on a power trip.Talking to the customers and actually listening makes a good start, instead listening to a staff member who was not even working that evening. I was never asked to leave the premises, and truth be told was quietly sitting enjoy my beverage, then the cops turned up asking me to leave. Not once was I threatening or loud, but if anything was even apologetic if they thought I was acting or saying inappropriate things, and was asked to leave I would of, but to have the cops turn up out of the blue was totally ridiculous!Seriously will let ALL my friends and family know NOT to come here and will make a stand against individuals talking things a little to far.Spend time listening to the customers and treat them with respect is a good starting point.Now how is it fair for myself and my kids who occasionally enjoyed a nice meal there, cannot due to poor communication.Shame it has come to this but hopefully the owner has some decency to make this right as there is always to side of a story (and even video recording if required) especially when lies were said about myself!Very disappointed to say the least!!Worst thing I am reviewing the customer service and not the food, but isn’t that where it all starts, with friendly and welcoming customer service?
Excellent customer service. Great food. Nothing is ever any trouble. Bennar and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended this place
Came on Wednesday as they do two for one mains. The regular prices here are absolutely absurd, so I’d only come here on a Wednesday, and even then the value for money is questionable. Their menu is quite extensive, quite an extensive list of bland, uninspiring creations. Their steak has no seasoning, they use red potatoes for roasting and apparently, BBQ sauce is now the base for Thai beef salad. It’s all very concerning. The service here is up and down. Some of the staff are friendly and some aren’t so it really just depends who you get.
