Enjoyed a quiet Monday night at The Local with the family. There was only 2 or 3 other tables of diners during our stay. The special was a free upgrade on the beef burger or the steak, which meant the addition of an egg and onion rings. Burger looked good sized but looking more closely at the patty, it was too small for the bun in my opinion. The fillings were fresh and the bun was perfect and delicious. A little over priced at $22.Environment is pub-like. Minimal aesthetics and fairly plain looking. Service was friendly, especially to our wee baby who was playing. Although friendly when serving at the counter, bringing food, and clearing tables, they do not come to you for anything else. Some like this, others like a little more attention.

I watched a whole game of rugby while I waited for the meal . The food wasn’t good either . Not recommend
