It was a very pleasant evening of food. I couldn’t decide what to have so I chose a selection of starters and naan bread. I enquired about the heat and was assured it would be fine for me. I ordered the grilled squid, puffs with potato & kumara and chix tikaa. It was all quite nice. I’m sure if I wanted spicy hot they could’ve but I just wanted mild & that’s what I got. Menu was a bit odd with the Asian selection of dishes. My friend ordered the Laksa which was more a Malaysian version which he enjoyed which had that kind of curry sauce base. Overall it was a pleasant meal. Presentation was like a banquet before my eyes. A bit of a wait but we didnt mind. Thank you
I want to give an honest review for curry zaika. I worked in Curry Zaika for approx 3 months in 2013 as a dishy and a delivery driver. After working there for a month and getting to know the male owner turned out to be quite a vocal racist complaining about NZ quite a bit.The curry however, in my opinion is one of the best Ive tried in Wellington. Their attention to detail and cleanliness was great. Overall 1.5/5
Great food but not so great service. We ordered delivery and when our food arrived they were very unfriendly saying we should’ve put the right address as we are out of their zone of delivery. I apologized and said i did not know, that the website didn’t say and allowed me to input and continue with that address. We even received a confirmation text telling us when our food would be delivered. They continued to be unfriendly saying we were wrong and they would charge us more.
The food was great and the guys over there provided a good service .they were keen on taking our order and the wait was minimal. I took madras chicken with rice both were excellent and really wonderful
I’m going to give a fair review score because I’ve been here a couple of times and food has always been average and the service friendly.I always ask for indian hot for every curry I get but it tastes as though they hold back on the spices. There was a younger man in the back cooking food who I’ve never seen before who let the place down big time!! He was scratching his face and continuing to make the food – really put me off I didnt eat my roti bread because of this and what made the situation worse was the fact he knew I saw him do it but continued to do it!! It would be a lot more hygenic if they washed their hands and wore gloves while cooking.Overall the curries are still tasty, nan and roti breads are yum but not the best
Very good food and very good service.Since last 4 years I am regular customer and always I find food is awesome.There butter chicken is best I ever had.My kids like the cheese and garlic naan.Cheese and garlic naan is full with cheese really worthfull.
