Went here on a Saturday morning, with absolutely no knowledge and not alerting to it, breakfast had finished at 11 and we arrived at 11:02. Ordered the full English, the chicken burger and two smashed avocados. The full English was dry and over cooked, very little of everything. The chicken burger was dry and tasteless. TheRe was nothing good about it. The avocado was old and the bread was burnt to a crisp. Everything took far too long and we are really disappointed. Ordered a side of halloumi, received two pieces. Overall, sadly not impressed. Cost $101 and we are absolutely disgusted, was not worth it at all, everything was seriously overpriced and we are gutted. Was far too expensive and was not worth it at all.
Awesome & accomodating place. Went for brunch with my picky eating team and there was no trouble changing out things in our meals and not being charged extra for the swaps. A Christmas treat come out of the kitchen for the kids which was a nice surprise. Love the play area. Place is always busy for a reason!
This place has brunch, lunch and dinner. Went for brunch with friends.. good meal size.. personal favorite was the burger and big breakfast..
2nd time we have eaten in the Borough. The first time we had a Pizza about a month ago and they were excellent. This visit was a total contrast. The staff looked like they did not want to be there. We got fish and chips, the fish was tasteless and the slaw was old and gray. The burger was soggy and poor quality. I have had an upset stomach since going. On the plus side. The chips were good and the Beer was good. The staff were not interested on our comments. A disappointing lunch. We are moving to Tawa later in the year and found a good Thai and Indian restaurant but the Borough let the town down.
Amazing food would most defiantly recommend as a great date night spot of for a Friday night dinner and drink. Food was outstanding super tasty and pretty well priced. Halloumi chips are a must, super delish and something a bit different. Was pretty busy so service was a bit slow but the servers were lovely and apologetic when they got to us.
This place was nice and welcoming, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive too :)I had a Flat White which was very nice and strong, and my friend had the Iced Chocolate which she enjoyed a lot!I also had the Avocado Smash on toast with Poached Eggs, and Halloumi added aswell (The Halloumi was beautiful). It was quite strange and there were a lot of really strong, overpowering flavours.. I think mostly coming from the side salad? One of my friends got the big brekky and she really enjoyed it, and my other friend got a Chickpea salad and Scrambled eggs on toast.Overall I would definitly return but I just wouldn’t get the Avocado Toast again 🙂
A great little place in a sleepy suburb.Went to the Borough for lunch on a Monday and when we walked in we couldn’t believe how busy it was. Lots of people and a really good ambiance and all the staff looked busy.First of all the restaurant area is spaced well and decorated exceptionally.Staff are really friendly and great outdoor seating available out back with a play area for the kids. Very rare to find a place this family friendly these days.We ordered a Smoked Salmon Rittelle and a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger. Both meals cooked fresh and promptly served.Salmon dish was not what I was expecting but was really quite tasty. Chicken Burger is something I will be having again.Price was around usual for a standard cafe and personally I think reasonable enough given what a great experience we had.Staff – 10/10Food – 8/10Ambiance – 10/10Price – 8/10Will I return – Most Definitely.
