Disappointing is all i can say. The fact it was empty should have been enough of a sign to realise it wasnt going to be good. Food was bland and the coffee was foul. Try at your own risk.
Was walking along Tawa main road looking for lunch options for our family with your young kids. Only just spotted this off the main drag. The “decor” is quite plain and simple. Of no concern to me, but might not be for everyone. Really good amount of choices to suit the budget and appetite. Kids had eggs on toast and toasted sandwich. Both of which got the thumbs up. I had the nachos which was good value for the price and the taste. I also had a coffee which was as good as any. From what I can tell it’s a family-run affair. The service was fine and pleasant. Will happily return!
I enjoy coming here regularly with my mother. The staff are friendly. Can sometimes be too hot in there and the consistency of what you order (which for us is usually the same few things every time) can be different depending on who cooks it otherwise I enjoy eating here.
We came here today for brunch. I had the pancakes and my partner the full breakfast. I liked how they used a fresh banana that was not grilled and stringy the pancakes could pass for piklets almost however the bacon and quality of the coffee alone made it worth the visit for me. The maple syrup was not heated but the lady was happy to heat it once requested my partner got big breakfast . cannot fault this meal at all. Great price great food friendly staff and wonderful tasty coffee I will be back to sample rest of menu
We like trying different cafes so decided on wet Sunday to try Cafe Addict Tawa which we were surprised was open being a Sunday and not on the main road. Initially we were the only customers. The coffee was pretty good and nice to see was only $4. Although we didn’t have any cabinet food, the cakes and cookies etc on display looked good too. What also impressed us is that that have free Wifi but it didn’t appear advertised. We are keen to go back and try some cakes/muffins etc. The cafe is quiet and roomy which is what we like. Definitely not a pretentious place. Lastly their loyalty card means every 5th coffee is free.
New owners are friendly and hard working. No doubt about that. Only thing is, maybe just me, when I ordered a latte and paid money to take it away. While I was drinking I realised that the taste is way off. I almost vomited. I gave it to my wife to taste and she told me it must be a mistake. The owner must have forgotten to through away the previous coffee before making new one which means the goody is gone and I was drinking coffee colored hot water with milk. I thought about going back to ask for refund or remake one but I didn’t bother. Just telling myself. I wouldn’t go there again. Just simple mistake but affect your customers’ loyalty.
