Ambience:A small, modern pastaria that appears to be always filled to the brim with customers. Located on the corner of Cuba Street opposite Scopa, 1154 Pastaria holds it’s own quite nicely in amongst the competition. Tables are connected in long rows, creating a family farm-style vibe that may very well be the classic Italian way. Service:Service is efficient for such a busy place. Orders and payments are taken before food comes out, and the staff are very quick to clear plates to help manage the queue. Food:Pappardelle Ricci Al Ragu D’Agnello What a delight – creamy, perfectly cooked pasta, and beautiful chunky pieces of lamb. We don’t eat pasta often, but when we do, we can only hope it tastes as good as this one! Presentation was beautiful and nice serving sizesGarlic and rosemary rollAlright if you need something extra to fill you up. Couldn’t taste the garlic really.
This is a great find for me as a parent, my kids love pasta! The macaroni cheese was a bit complex for their simple tastes but at least I know I can find things the kids will like that aren’t deep fried wonders here, plus there was a casual vibe that we all felt comfortable in. My vegan dish was tasty and filling.
Had the vege ravioli pasta – nice enough flavours just lacked a lot of seasoning. Really disappointing that the bread roll comes out cold, without butter, and quite dry.
I’m genuinely going to have to fly down fromAuckland to have the Cacio e pepe spaghetti dish again and again. I had it twice during our visit to Wellington, I just can’t fault a thing!
Amazing!!!!!! 1154 Pastaria serves up bowls of freshly made pasta all for around the $15 mark. Service is quick and nice atmosphere. They can even do take home fresh pasta!!
Situated in the corner of cuba and ghuznee. More casual kinda of place which i like. Well priced as well. Bolognese and carbonara were great we add chilli and breadcrumbs and washed it down with this fantastic rosemary bread. House sodas are great too. They also have a bunch of take away sauces and pastas
Really good food and beautiful atmosphere! Staff were super friendly and everything was served in a timely manner. Perhaps the only down side was the small size of the restaurant, but that didnt really affect us too much!
