Good no-fuss yet delicious food in the capital market. Ordered the grilled chicken leg on rice which was nice and my partner’s lemongrass beef salad was delicious too!
Came here and ordered a crispy pork Banh MI and it was fantastic. Cost $10 which was maybe a little on the higher side and sign did say Banh MI $7.50 but maybe it’s extra for crispy pork but either way I could not be bothered ruining my day by arguing.Took a little while but this way probably because it was earlier in the day and they were just setting up but it was well worth it when you have food of such great taste and quality.The Banh MI itself was was full of the crispy pork meat ensuring that every bite was full of that delightful goodness. The bread was not too hard and the herbs and greens used were extremely fresh and crunchy.Will definitely be returning for more Banh MI experiences.
I like this Vietnamese food stall and have always enjoyed their pork belly dish (with salad and rice/chips). It is always very crispy, never too salty, and with a very nice dipping sauce. (I’ve tried pork belly from other Chinese restaurants but theirs are way too salty.) They have a generous serving, and the staff are always nice. Value for money at $12.00 Of late, Grilled Pork with Steamed Rice and salad had been added to my favourites here — pork has that smoky flavour, and it is tender and moist. It’s also served with a sunny side up egg — all for $12.00! I tried their Com Thit Xao Rau (Stir fried meat with vegetables served with steamed rice) and it was really full of flavour. One could choose either beef, pork or chicken, and I chose to have pork. It was tender and not over-cooked. Definitely a must-try.
FINALLY found it!!! YAAASSSS! I am very, very happy that Wellington has a place I can visit for a good Banh Mi! The pork Banh Mi is my preferred filling of choice, but there’s plenty of other options available.If you want an iced coffee that will slap you into action try their Vietnamese filter coffee. It is strong and sweetened with condensed milk. If you like kopiko sweets this is definitely for you. How to? Wait for all the coffee to drip through into the awaiting measure of condensed milk . Stir and then pour the contents into your cup of shaved ice! Take a sip and let it send your body into a complete state of awakening. It’s a guaranteed pick me up!!!Can’t wait to head back to try the rest of their Menu! This place makes Vietnamese food like it should be!
Lots on offer here but I opted for the chicken salad ($10.00). Great choice. Fresh, crisp. All the usual ingredients and with a nice dressing. Not overpowering but flavoursome and a hint of chili. Good amount of chicken. Proper chicken pieces too. I got some extra chili on the side for an extra kick.It was a big portion too. I will definitely return.
Have the best value for money! The cheapest Vietnamese food in Wellington and quickest!Such lovely owners who take pride and care with every meal they serve. I love their fresh spring rolls! You get 3 Massive rolls for $6 (I think- can’t remember). Also their beef pho is full of delicious intense flavor that warms you up and has great texture and taste. I encourage you all to support this place. Definitely the best Vietnamese food around.
