I’d heard so much about Field & Green, the home of European soul food, so eagerly anticipated lunch with friends. The menu changes each week and there is always something new to try. This week, there were at least fifteen lunch dishes – so hard to choose! I’m really glad I settled on roasted pumpkin and halloumi salad with tomatoes and lemon tahini yoghurt. The flavours and textures worked perfectly. Our group shared a side of crispy polenta and parmesan chips with harissa mayonnaise. We’ll have to return another day to sample the ice cream and sorbet menu. A worthy inclusion in this year’s Cuisine top 100 New Zealand restaurants.
