I’ve never been a fan of Mojo; largely due to their coffee. It’s not my favourite and their regular size is tiny but costs as much, if not more, that a normal regular size you’d get elsewhere – that bugged me, so I had a negative perception of Mojo.So when the new cafe underneath my work opened and it was a Mojo I was disappointed and I avoided it.We were given some promo codes to try the steampunk coffee, so I thought I’d at least give it a chance. The coffee itself I would pass on, I didn’t enjoy it. But on entering the cafe the cabinet food and the menu looked good. Some of it was reasonably priced too.Fast forward a few months and I have become a regular visitor. I’ve tried a number of their dishes and have been really impressed on most occasions.They do a bacon sandwich. I’ve asked to make a few amendments and they have always obliged (so much so, that when I order I just ask for ‘the usual’ as they know how I like it) and it’s an EPIC bacon roll, so good; just how they should be. Soft bread, crisp, proper bacon. I love it and regularly pop in for one.I can also recommend the open sandwiches, particularly the prosciutto and pea hummus. The salmon, dill and capers is also good. They are quite expensive but worth it as very tasty and reasonably sized with a good amount of ingredients.I still don’t drink the coffee, my opinion of that hasn’t changed, but there’s so much more on offer here. It’s a great place to go for food. Really nice, varied options made with good ingredients, both from cabinet or a la carte. The staff and chefs are always really friendly and helpful.
