Came to this place for dinner with my family (3 young kids), wife and parents. It’s a fairly unassuming place from the outside. Inside is bright and clean. The menu had some interesting dishes, like kimchi stew and savoury pancakes. I settled on the spicy seafood noodles. It tasted as described, spicy. Other dishes we tried were, fried dumplings, bim bim bap, beef stew, chap chae (bit sweet), and sizzling spicy pork (most delicious) dish. All dishes came with Kim chi and some potatoes. These were good. Overall, the food was good. Reminds me of home cooking, tasty but nothing spectacular. It was very popular though, as the place was full and there was a steady stream of takeaway orders. I’ll go back again if I was wanting some clean authentic Korean food.

Nice setting and great service. Food isn’t very spicy, although the food is good I feel like it’s slightly toned down for the western palate.

Have been here a few times now! Polite staff and quick food times, my favourite dishes so far are the seafood pancake and kimchi stew very nice. The seafood noodle is also amazing if you like spicy!

Had the $12.50 Pork Jaeyuk lunch special. It is served on a sizzling plate but ours weren’t sizzling when they arrived. Nice clean place and the food was good with friendly service.

Got the bibimbap made vegan no trouble. Very tasty and fresh. My friend got the vegan jupchae and rated that highly too! My only gripe is that it would be good if they could sub out meat and egg for tofu or something for a vegan option instead of just omitting it.. Either that or make it cheaper when vegan 🙂

Have been there several times after it changed from another Korean restaurant. This could be one of the best Korean restaurants in Wellington. Everything is clean and the service is meticulous. Don’t think they use Msg. Love their bibimbap. Thumbs up! I became a regular there. Great spot for Korean dishes!

Most places in Wellington city treat their vegetarian options like an afterthought – a mishmash of tasteless tofu or mushrooms that really weren’t meant to be eaten with the rest of the dish. But Mrs Kim’s is quite the opposite.Had two vegetarian dishes here and they were so friggin good I can never bring myself to eat anything else every time I go. The usual dilemma with a delicious menu.I had the vegetarian bibimbap and was a bit iffy about the $15 price tag, at first. I’ve had vegetarian bibimbap in several places in Wellington and they were all, in one word, tasteless. But after having the first bite from Mrs Kim’s, boy was it worth the $15. Absolutely delicious, the vegetables were all seasoned to taste, the rice perfect. The egg didn’t have to be there for vegans to enjoy an eggless dish, which is fantastic. And rare for meatless bibimbap, you can have my word.Other than the bibimbap I’ve had the glass noodles dish before as well. Equally tasty, albeit a tad too oily for me. Doesn’t stop me from ordering it every other time, though. My gf loves their kimchi stew and the beef stew as well, so soup lovers should give that a try too.Service as fantastic as well. Very friendly, honest about your food. And we all know how a smile goes a long way :)Give it a try, really. You won’t be disappointed.
