I have been eating here for over 2 years. That should tell you how good it is. I keep coming back. I moved to Lower Hutt and my wife and I still come back. If I could give 6 stars I would. The Lamb Rendang is amazing and I will eat it until I die. If you’re looking for beautiful food this is it. Never change Satay Palace.

Went here for dinner and loved the Hainanese chicken rice dish! Very good portions for $13. I would definitely come back here to try the other chef specials.

Wow! Why has it taken me this long to get here? A cold winters day, with a howling southerly and little sun calls for a steaming hot bowl of curry laksa x4. Quick and prompt service meant we were in and out in no time for a work lunch. The flavours are rich and satisfying with ample seasoning and loaded with chicken, fresh seafood and noodles cooked perfectly. The glossy slick of chilli oil on top calls for crispy and light roti. Thin and buttery, one of my top rotis in town. A huge serving at $12.50 I will no doubt be back to try the rest of the menu.

Good food and speedy service makes Satay Palace worth a stop for a casual meal. Our meals arrived in record time despite being a busy Friday night. I enjoyed my Kung Bo chicken but would have liked more vegies. My friends also ordered 10/10 spice but got rather mild. The toilet here is straight up gross.

Awesome place. Get the Dual Noodles, #9. Can’t go wrong. This place is a regular for me and my family. Even the kids love the food here. Fit out could be modernised, but I overlook that cis the food is just so darn good.

I knew there was a reason why I hadn’t had a laksa here in a while but I thought I would give it another try. No sorry, I left half of it in the bowl with the noodles. I never do that. The laksa was marginal, very thick and stodgy and not at all appetizing. Also dislike staff hoicking out the back, then sitting down next to you eating like it is a chinese feast and then shouting down the phone while having a conversation in mandarin or whatever they speak. Place is also a bit grotty.
