Decent cafe at Te Papa. Grabbed some pretty average cafe food from the servery – bucket of fresh hot chips and a cream cheese sandwich. It’s a little slow around lunch time as they struggle to keep up with demand.
A busy cafe with a wide range of cabinet food on offer. Coffee is good and price is as you’d expect for the location. Not amazing, not terrible just a reasonable average. I’ve seen it super busy with screaming children and bumbling tourists, and I think the staff handle all the chaos really well considering. Service was efficient.
We were at Te Papa to see the Gallipoli exhibition. We decided to get a coffee and cake in the cafe afterwards.Service was good, especially as it’s a busy little cafe. Open plan within the wider space of the museum adds a nice feel.Good variety of cakes on offer. I chose the cheesecake which was very good. They did fluffys for the kids with chocolate fish so that kept them amused nicely.The coffee was good too. I had a trim flat white, very enjoyable.Nice that there is a decent cafe in the museum for when you need a break.
Stopped in for a coffee on our way around Te Papa. Was great coffee, and nice atmosphere in the cafe. Great place to go for a quick sit down and break.
food here is so expensive. We ordered pancake, beef pie and hot dog. It said you can choose any toping for pancake but it is only maple syrup available. When my friend had a beef pie, it is so hilarious as this was the first time we saw the pie cake body is a bamboo layer instead of four layer. The taste of hot dog is so terrible and we two even could not finish it.
Clean, busy and right in the heart of Te Papa museum. We’d lined up for over 45 minutes for the Gallipoli exhibit and were in real need of a caffeine fix and TPC delivered. Our trim flat whites were strong and hot. Perfect, before tackling the rest of Te Papa.
Well behaved staff, awesome ambience and wonderful yummy food. Tried Veg Lasagna and Flat white. Superb taste! Its on the left hand side on the ground floor on the entrance of Te Papa Museum. fitfoodiemegha.com
