This is definitely the best Chinese Restaurant in Te Aro! What used to be Bamboo — the new management/owners improved on their service, and food quality. As a family run business, I am happy that their little enterprise is winning more loyal customers, based on what I see — having been a regular (yes, almost daily!) for several months now.Some of my favourites are their Roast Duck on Rice — perfectly roasted with succulent skin, moist on the inside and delicately flavoured. Their Hainan (some restaurants call it Hainanese) chicken is a bargain at $12.90 as well — served with chicken broth, fried garlic rice, steamed pakchoy, and chili sauce! I had tried lots of their dishes on the menu, and they all stand out! I will review more of them when I have the time.

Thought I’d finally stop in and sample the goods. Decent portion size for the price, upon request I received extra chilli sauce on the side. Flavourful and great value. Will return to sample the rest of the menu!
