Best coffee in Upper Hutt, hands down. 100% consistent. I used to work on Cuba St and got used to great coffee there. Now that I work in Upper Hutt Arisong is the only place I’ll go for coffee (except on Mondays when they’re closed). Menu food is pretty good too. Cabinet food is a little pricey for what you get though.Downsides: • No credit card facility. It pains me to do business meetings at any other cafes because the coffee elsewhere is usually a disappointment.• No high chairs makes bringing a baby tricky.• Closed on weekends and Mondays! Sadly, the best coffee in Upper Hutt is only available to those who can get there during work hours.I don’t expect opening hours to change, but surely a credit card facility would quickly pay for itself with the increased business. You expect no credit cards from a dairy or fish and chip shop, not a cafe.
Slightly disappointed. Only went for coffee which was $5.20, hard to justify in Upper Hutt without the operating costs of a big city. Coffee was burnt, still ok, but not ideal. No credit card service which is a standard when prices are high. Won’t be heading back.
First tried this place a couple of months ago and have been back several times now, has been consistently good every time. Nice sushi, good coffee, decent rolls/lunch items and delicious cakes and slices. Haven’t tried ordering anything off the menu yet – will do that when I don’t have the 2yo with me. Only little thing is the coffee takes a while to come out but I think I saw stated on the counter good things take time (or words to that effect). I always get the little one a fluffy and she doesn’t like waiting more than a few minutes, especially when I get my coffee first! But they are very good with kids there and will have a little chat with her each time which she enjoys. Wish they were open Saturday’s so we could have a family brunch there.
Best breakfast in town, not cheap although you would expect it not to be as average price with above average quality and yes recommended. Service is great and the sushi is what people say, very nice!
Best coffee and sushi in Upper Hutt, i haven’t been anywhere in Upper Hutt that has offered top service like this cafe does. The staff are always so kind and friendly and always willing to help when needed. The cafe atmosphere itself is very clean and tidy, workers always clearing dishes away to ensure comfort for the diner. Coffee is always consistent and outstanding. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Best coffee spot in the Upper Hutt region.
