My partner and I frequently visit China and are almost always 100% happy with the level of service provided, in particular by Alex who has and endless amount of enthusiasm, product and menu knowledge and where possible time for a friendly chat.The food is delicious, and able to be customised to meet the requirements of vegetarian and gluten-free diets. (the set menu for two – A is amazing! Providing superb value for money and dining experience.)I definitely recommend dining here during the week, as wait times can be long during the busy weekend dinner service. As a bonus they also do takeaway, and will package up your leftovers to take home.I like China City so much that I don’t eat Chinese food from any other places in the region and travel in from Lower Hutt to dine here.
