A friendly place to grab a quick bite in a pinch. Classic and massive range of all your faves from pies to buns to slices, not top quality to be sure, but definitely up there. But in all honesty the reason I’m reviewing is the price. I went up with a packed chicken roll a standard kiwi steak and cheese pie a coke and some t-sauce and it cost me $8.50. I thought i had jumped into the past, you would have been hard pressed to find these prices anywhere in nz ten years ago. For food in a pinch in upper hut fresh bun is for you!!
Great service food was great and cheap amazing Bacon and Egg pies wow yum price was very reasonable. All the staff are friendly and happy no problems going back.
Nice friendly staff and food is value for money but the store and toilets could do with a good scrub. I still go back here because you get a good feed and the raspberry buns are delicious lol.
I only go here when I can’t afford a McDonald’s breakfast combo because they have a few $5.50 meals that fill the spot. Today I had spaghetti on toast (you can’t really screw that up). You get a whole tin of spaghetti and four pieces of toast (pictured). It was exactly as I expected. They also do a decent pot of tea – I happily get my standard 3 cups out of one pot, however it could do with two tea bags in it. I am thankful that there are jars of sugar on the tables rather than sachets. It’s the kind of food you can do better making yourself at home.
