Unfortunately every time I go here they make mistakes with my order as well as only half filling a large chips. It’s annoying because my coeliac daughter can only have a few things off the menu so I purchase a large chips on their own only for them to be half full, every.single.time.
lol 1-star would rate lower if possible. Just came from the drive thru service. Staff could not complete basic math and stuffed up my order not once but twice. Got home and found that the Quarter Pounder with Bacon I had ordered, had no f****** bacon. This place needs to be restructured and all the lazy waste of spaces currently working there should be replaced with people who actually want to be at work. Disgusting.
a visit to MacDonald on Tuesday night about 4.30,with my 4yr old gran-daughter and. the state ,of the store was a shocker,the mess in all directions ,rubbish bins open but no one attending to that or the mess,be it spillt drinks rubbish on the floors etc,my gran daughter actually said to me ,ooh look at all the mess pop,we went ahead an ordered then walked through to find a seat and that was in a worse state than the first part,rubbish every where,chips and food all over the floors rubbish lettuce e have spread over the tables,now, i have been going there since it first open when my children were young,and never once can i recall a tip like that,then when our order turned up,we had not been given the correct order,when i went up to fix that,i told the young lady my concerns re the state of the place,only to be told they were short staffed,to me that was not good enough for the hygiene of a food store, a family who sat down close to us were also disgusted by the mess,and to ruin their night as well their order was also wrong, but wait there is more,when my grand daughter wanted to play in the playground there were no lights on and a couple of other people and kids were wanting to play ,so i had to go and ask for the lights to be turned on,i don’t write these types of messages but this really was a shocker at McDonald’s upper hutt ,
You know, if you serve cheap, crappy food at cheap prices, that’s an acceptable compromise.. that’s what McDonalds MEANS to me. The same cheap, crappy food at exorbitant prices?! I don’t think so. The service at your Upper Hutt store has always been poor (having to pull into the waiting spots seemingly EVERY time I go through the drive-thru, and burgers that look like they were assembled by Stevie Wonder), but your greed with your recent price hikes has lost you a life-long customer. Good luck to ya- Burger King and Subway, here I come.
As far as McDonald’s go this place isn’t bad! The staff seem to be onto it. Food is of good quality and the place is very clean. Wait times really are your only enemy but it is still fast food.
So grateful to see coffees following here on a good Friday. Given it’s McDonald’s you wouldn’t expect a high standard of coffee and this is speaking from past experiences of other branches in the region. I was pleasantly surprised of the extra care and effort put into the presentation of my coffee. Nice silky milk, velvety appearance and a delicately swirled pattern on top. Espresso tasted well balanced not at all bitter! As a soy drinker I was delighted to detect no hint of toe curling curdling. Not sure what brand of chocolate powder they use but it’s got a nice light texture not sickly sweet super yummy. Also my partner who is a particularly harsh critic had a Mocha consistent in appearance to my cuppa. He got a sun pattern. Nice to see on a dreary day. He sipped it down with no complaints. Now that’s amazing!! Well done Upper Hutt setting the standard for your neighbouring sites.
love their staff , always helpful, friendly , excellent service. And Sue who works there goes out of her way to help some of the customers.
