Love this place! Best restaurant in Upper Hutt! The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is always amazing!! Generous meals and always perfectly cooked.
Really dissapointed with these guys after years of dining and enjoying this establishment im giving you a review you deserve. Being asked for identification on a sunday lunchtime when your 31 years old and your partner is clearly heavily pregnant is beyond rude beyond unprofessional and highly disrespectful. Ive brought my daughter to this place many times and never been asked to produce identification especially on a sunday lunchtime. I get how the law inforces you to ask for i.d when you look under 25 but shit have a bit of common sense its not hard, because its your right to ask doesnt mean its always a plausible idea. We felt embarrassed when there was a large booking that were all looking at us laughing and joking about how we needed to produce identification. Common sense is common sense especially when my partner is pregnant whats she gonna order a shot of tequila and a long island ice tea chaser..? SERIOUSLY. Its easy to say hand over the i.d and be done with it but it goes beyond a joke when its not warranted. Shame 7s bar!!!
Was actually really disappointed me and my dad come in every week for lunch and we loved the food but recently it’s changed menu and owner And when I last went there I got simple breakfast eggs and kranksys and when it came out it was stone cold I went up and told the guy and he said really ? Like he didn’t believe me like I couldn’t be right I said your welcome to come and try it yourself so he actually came over and felt the meal with his bare hands which I thought was insulting to me and also very gross . He gave me a free fizzy drink and they made it again . Was average temp when it came out again but I didn’t want to say anything cause the guy was so rude . Very let down that I can’t go there anymore
Great food nachos are to die for well playing an game on the pool table. Very friendly bar highly recommended to all. Love this place. It’s made better buy the very nice lady behind the counter who has an smile to reel you back for another drink thanks again for an great place to drink and hang out with my mates
Not a bad place for pub food. No expectations, it is pub food, but they have a nice comfortable, clean dining area and the staff are friendly and the service was great! A plus is definitely the Guinness on tap!
Great atmosphere, great decor, great service. The food was cooked perfectly for all meals that were ordered. I had the venison on the hot stone. I loved it. However, 200g of venison is not enough, I did expect more, and the chips was a lacking on the numbers. But over all it was good.
We asked our German student where to take our Japanese student for her last Saturday night dinner out and she said that she had to try the stone grill – it was great and the girls and us really enjoyed it. We told her that Upper Hutt has it all and when they go back home they will remember how great it was -thanks very much
